This week we are introducing our founder and creative director Robert Singer.

It has taken some time for Robert to realise his ambition of creating an avant garde art scene in Ayr. Forty five years ago he set up a studio on Sandgate where he taught art classes. Twenty years ago he graduated from Glasgow School of Art, still with the vision of establishing a contemporary arts space in the town, where he has spent most of his life. Now he has dug deep into his past and revitalized his early training in baking and for the last year he has been running an experimental kitchen/bakery with his daughter Saskia, an arts graduate from Duncan of Jordanson College of Art and Design. They bake real bread to 'earn the dough to fund arts project' at Narture's bakery, No3 Cathcart Street.
