Edinburgh based artists Lewis Bissett and Jamie Watt present Stagnation, an exhibition about creative constipation, cultural inertia, political gridlock and cavernous class divides.

Jamie Watt:

‘Drawing on a democratic and darkly comedic ethos, my interdisciplinary practice is an ongoing investigation into personal histories, cultural evolution and power structures. My work regularly focuses on the recontextualisation of historical narratives or artefacts to create a dialogue with the past and come to a new understanding of contemporary cultural identity.’

Lewis Bissett:

‘Ah um a Fawkirk born, Embra based, half-a-jaffa artist who hus numerous complexes oan class, culture n indentity as a post-industrial Scot within art.’
