Freddie Thomas is a textile artist who makes ‘Shit Art’, using affordable, easily accessible every-day materials. Some work is even wearable!
 
She says: ‘The working-class woman’s voice is majorly under-represented within the arts. Our struggles and experiences are very much different to those from affluent or comfortable backgrounds. These varied perspectives must be examined MORE within the arts. 
 
It’s about time working class women DO NOT feel they need to change the way they walk or talk to fit into a predominantly white middle-class arena.’
